About Us:

ABDELRAHMAN Research Group is partner with Yoshitake/Abdelrahman Lab. at the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences (IGSES), Kyushu University.

Our group focuses on the development of advanced carbon-based nanomaterials and thin films using Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) techniques, including arc plasma, pulsed laser deposition (PLD), and RF/DC sputtering.

Our research particularly explores the growth of nanodiamond thin films, so called quench-produced diamond (Q-Dia), aiming to achieve controlled synthesis and functional properties for a wide range of applications, including semiconductor devices, anticorrosion coatings, and biomedical implants.

In parallel, we investigate polymer–nanodiamond composite nanofibers fabricated via electrospinning, targeting next-generation energy-related applications.

Through the integration of plasma processing and nanofabrication techniques, our group aims to advance functional carbon materials and enable their implementation in innovative device technologies.
